Scream Quadrilogy

Lets start with the first. This is one of my top ten favorite horror movies. It is surprisingly original, because it introduced the factor of the victims actually knowing that scary movies exist. They actually think of what they would do if this were a scary movie (which it is) and act on it. 5 out of 5

Now the second. This is probably the most entertaining in the series. Adding the blend of comedy, and tenuous horror perfectly. Although the first is a classic, this is just as great. They just go downhill from here, though.

After Craven made two amazing box office hits, he decided to go with a trilogy. That may have been a mistake. Lets just say... it sucked! It was not near as inventive, or as scary as the last two, and the killer was completely impossible to guess. I will have to admit, the horror scenes were pretty spine tingling... I give it a 2.5 out of 5

The fourth installment totally took me by surprise. I had no idea it was coming. I saw the poster in my local theater about 10 months before the film was released, and knew I had to see it. When the date finally came, I was ecstatic. I did enjoy the film. It inconceivably, absolutely, definitely, undoubtedly bypassed the Third in every way imaginable... but it was flawed. It failed to maintain a balance on the fine line between Horror, and Comedy. But it was completely enjoyable for the fans, though. I give it 4 out of 5.

Horrible Bosses

Very, very inappropriate sexual innuendo. No nudity, or explicit scenes, but the things they talk about are pretty terrible. (beware of the Anniston scenes). Besides that, there is also a ton of bad language. Other than all of the bad particles, this film flowed very smoothly, and was continuously hilarious. 4.5-5

The Fighter

This is my favorite sports film ever. It is so deeply engaging that I could not even take my eyes off of the screen. It was definitely the best picture of 2010.

The Social Network

I think either this or The Fighter should have won best picture. It is a fantastic drama, with awesomely acted scenes. It was cast perfectly! This is definitely in my top ten.

Office Space

This is a very original, and hilarious workplace comedy. If you can get through the first 20 minutes, it is very well worth it.

Like Dandelion Dust

Beware, this is one of the saddest indie films of the year. It's very touching, even though a little slow at first. Just to imagine what you would feel like in this situation is unbearable. I loved the ending, I thought it was very satisfying. 8-10

Stranger Than Fiction

You may think that seeing Will Ferrell as Harold Crick is going to be weird, because he is usually in raunchy comedies, but he is awesome in a serious role. Dustin Hoffman and Queen Latifa were also very great in their roles. I loved this film. It is one of the best comedies out there.
